Yes. Conversations, speech recognition and grammar feedback all run on your device, and your practice recordings stay there too. Nothing you say touches our servers, we don't have any. The only thing that leaves your device is anonymous crash and usage diagnostics, which you can switch off in Profile.
Yes. Parro's conversations run on Apple's on-device model, so you need a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings and a supported device language and region. ParroTalk tells you exactly what is missing and how to fix it.
Yes, once your device has the on-device models. iOS downloads the Apple Intelligence model and the English speech-recognition model the first time (Wi-Fi recommended). After that, conversations, Repeat after Parro, grammar feedback and vocabulary work fully offline. Only optional iCloud sync and the App Store need a connection.
